About The Project<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

GB Groundworks & Construction Ltd, one of our longest-standing customers, were commissioned by the National Trust to work on several projects, including Wentworth Castle.<\/p>

This National Trust<\/a> space features glorious gardens, woodland and parkland for all to enjoy, however, the existing pathways were beginning to show signs of detrition after years of use. This led to the GB team being approached to replace these pathways with an attractive yet natural-looking pathway with exceptional anti-skid properties<\/b>. A resin bond path was a better choice for this project, instead of a resin bound one.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Installation<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Wanting to maintain the area’s natural aesthetics, the GB team contacted us to help source a suitable solution for this outstanding project. We suggested a wonderful combination of LeesonGrip\u00ae and <\/span>Autumn Quartz 1-3mm<\/a> stone to produce a durable, natural-looking and skid-resistant surface to ensure the National Trust’s requirements were met.<\/span><\/p>

To create the pathway, the existing top surface was carefully excavated to reveal the tarmac sub-base which was still in superb condition. From here the Part A and Part B of LeesonGrip\u00ae 1-2 were mixed using a paddle mixer and evenly spread over the tarmac surface using a squeegee before roughly spreading 10kg per sqm of Autumn Quartz 1-3mm over the resin. This process is then repeated until all of the paths were covered in the charming Autumn Quartz stone. After a few hours, the entire surface was swept with a stiff brush to remove the excess stone which revealed a stunning uniform pathway!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

This successful installation of a LeesonGrip\u00ae resin bond pathway by GB Groundworks exceeded the expectations of the National Trust. Not only did the new surface enhance the durability of the walkways but also contributed to the preservation of this beautiful historical site, ensuring visitors can continue to enjoy the beauty of Wentworth Castle Gardens for years to come.<\/p>\n
