RESIN BOUND OR RESIN BOND: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?<\/strong><\/h4>

The primary distinction between resin bound and resin bond surfaces lies in their permeability. Resin bound surfaces are permeable, whereas resin bond surfaces are non-permeable. Choosing between the two can depend on a number of factors, such as the required level of grip, the importance of permeability or volume of pedestrian or vehicle traffic using the surface. While resin bond surfaces offer higher grip compared to resin bound ones, their non-permeability may necessitate additional drainage. This extra drainage might not be needed for bridges and inclines prone to becoming slippery when wet. Due to their better grip and traction, resin bond surfaces are recommended for high-traffic roads or paths in areas with abundant trees.<\/p>

Another aspect to consider is the aesthetic appeal of the surfaces. While resin bound surfaces are smooth gravel pavements, the resin bond surfaces mimic the appearance of loose gravel without the issue of migrating stones.<\/p>
