A Grade Driveways<\/a> were approached by their client in Sheffield who needed a practical solution to expand their driveway. The existing area featured a narrow tarmac strip and an adjoining overgrown grass patch, which offered just enough room for a single vehicle.<\/p>

The client wanted a more spacious and stylish driveway that could comfortably accommodate at least two cars while improving the look of their property.<\/p>

To achieve the client’s goals whilst adhering to their budget, the experienced A Grade team recommended the use of X-Grid, an eco-friendly gravel grid system known for its strength, permeability and ability to stabilise gravel surfaces. X-Grid Gravel Driveway Installation<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The team began by fully excavating the grass area and removing broken sections of tarmac and concrete surrounding. In order to improve access and make full use of the available space, part of the existing front wall was carefully taken down and rebuilt to widen the driveway entrance.<\/p>

A compacted hardcore sub-base was installed and levelled, followed by a membrane layer to prevent weed growth and a bedding layer of sharp sand. The driveway was bordered with neat edge blocks before laying the durable X-Grid panels. Once installed, the grids were filled with Dove Grey gravel to create a solid and visually appealing gravel driveway.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The finished result is a modern and robust gravel parking area for their client, who now benefits from a long-lasting, functional and eco-friendly space that has added kerb appeal to their home.<\/p>
