Non-woven membranes

Here at GCL Products we stock a great range of strong, non-woven membranes which are ideal for use on almost all landscaping and engineering projects to create a strong, long lasting, permeable barrier between the ground and your chosen product or covering above. Installed under paving, soakaway, rubber and edging products, our membranes allow water and nutrients to drain away naturally into the ground below whilst preventing the intermixing of dissimilar soil layers and the uncontrolled passage of soil. These non-woven membranes can be used in conjunction with a wide range of our other products including X-Grid, soakaway crates, rubber tiles, rubber grass mats and even decking boards.

GeoTextile Membranes

Produced on state of the art equipment, our non-woven thermally bonded geotextile membranes set the standards in terms of quality and mechanical performance. Being such a robust yet permeable membrane makes this product ideal for use under site access roads, hard standing areas, roadways, car parks and even industrial units with products such as soakaway crates, X-Grid, rubber grass mats and rubber tiles. Manufactured from non-woven polypropylene, these membrane rolls are particularly popular on projects which require drainage, separation and filtration. You can learn more about our needle punched & thermally bonded membrane on the product page or by reading our Non-Woven Membrane specification.

GeoTextile Membranes are large pieces of fabrics that are situated in the ground to act as a protective layer. These are suitable for a wide range of application but is most commonly used in engineering and drainage projects. It can be used in filtration and separation applications. It is effective when wrapped around a soakaway crate to allow water movement while stopping sand and soil particles from moving through the membrane.
