X-Grid For Agriculture

Summary

X-Grid can be used in a number of ways in agricultural and farming settings to help improve drainage, reduce mud, prevent poaching and rutting, create solid access routes and improve footing for cattle and livestock.

Commonly used in gateways, storage areas, waiting yards, stables, paddocks, feeding areas, chicken runs, dog kennels and compounds, X-Grid has dozens of uses around farmyards and agricultural premises.

When filled with grass, the green X-Grid product is virtually invisible to the naked eye, making it an ideal product for use in areas of outstanding natural beauty. Cattle, livestock and vehicles can use the areas without poaching or rutting the surface, providing better conditions for animals and improving access for vehicles.

Product Information

Used in many areas across farms and agricultural settings, X-Grid is designed to be robust and versatile as the frequent intense use by hoofed animals and heavy vehicles can have drastic impacts on soil and grass areas.
Manufactured from 100% recycled HDPE, X-Grid has been proven to withstand over 420 tonnes of compression per square metre, even before being filled with gravel or any other medium. The high density of the product makes it rigid without being brittle and the asymmetric design of the cells helps spread vertical loading pressures across a wider area.

As livestock need both stable, free draining ground to stand on as well as grass to eat, X-Grid can provide both. By preventing the compaction and erosion of soil, the durable grass pavers improve the drainage even in inclement weather, counteracting surface flooding and puddling.

Gateways and heavily used areas of farmland can be susceptible to flooding and bogginess, creating problems with getting around fields and paddocks in vehicles and spreads mud, causing slip hazards. By installing X-Grid in these areas, the tyres are no longer in contact with soil and this rutting and churn is completely eliminated.
