Anchor Pegs: X-Grid Fixing Pegs

X-Grid anchor pegs are black, ribbed, anti-pull fixings used almost exclusively with X-Grid and our ground reinforcement range. The pegs are great for increasing security when installing X-Grid and other products on a steep gradient where slippage or movement is a real issue. Each peg is strong, weatherproof, UV resistant and long-lasting make it the ideal product for long term projects. These benefits and the anti-pull ribs prevent the peg from being easily pulled up once installed and give them a long service life as it will not rot away or break down over time. Whilst giving a solid and effective fixing, X-Grid anchor pegs are also much safer than metal fixings when used on projects near power cables, machinery and animals.

The anchor pegs allow you to create an attractive driveway, pathway or hardstanding using the ground base X-Grid. The pegs keep the well made gravel grid in a strong, set position which can be filled with the gravel to create an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Ground Reinforcement Grid

Ground Reinforcement Grids are a permeable solution, allowing water to seep away and preventing the risk of flooding. These products may also be referred to as a cellular paving, porous paving, ecopaving, SUDs pavers, gravel grids or ground stabilisation grids.

The X-Grid and anchor pegs combination is a popular, highly durable solution. It is used for overspill car parks, private driveways, emergency vehicle access lanes, golf buggy paths, helicopter pads, cycle routes, pathways and verge stabilisation.

Ground reinforcement grid have been designed to be finished with either grass or gravel – and blend unobtrusively and elegantly into private homes, parks, rural areas or public spaces. They can also manage extraordinary load bearing capacities, unlike expensive block paving.

The benefit of a permeable solution is the vast benefits to the environment. The Sustainable Urban Drainage Strategies (SUDS) are designed to “slow the flow” of rainwater and prevent the risk of flooding. This has led to many organisations, from the NHS to Transport for London (TFL) choosing paving grid.

The most popular filler for the grid is gravel. Gravel grids therefore provide a stable surface and are also big enough to avoid migration in the thread of tyres of large vehicles.
