Description
X-Grid is our very own ground reinforcement grids that we designed and manufacture right here in the UK from 100% recycled plastic. The unique formulation and design of X-Grid have given it unrivalled benefits such as being able to withstand the compression of up to 428 tonnes per sqm when unfilled. X-Grid is also incredibly durable with long serviceable life, each panel is resistant to UV rays, chemicals and weather damage (from -50°C to +90°C) meaning it will not rot away or break down over time and can last for up to 25 years.
Whilst providing a solid surface, the high void ratio of each panel also makes it fully permeable and SuDS compliant which allows water to flow freely through each grid and maintain natural drainage routes. With flooding becoming a common occurrence across the UK, using a product that encourages natural drainage and helps to ease the pressure on our drainage systems (which have proved time and again they can struggle to cope with large amounts of rain) is a step in the right direction to help prevent localised flooding.
In addition to the previously mentioned benefits, X-Grid is also very easy to install due to its lightweight frame and specially designed slot and peg connection system. It is so easy to work that one person is able to lay 100m² of X-Grid in an hour. You also have a choice of how to fill your X-Grid once it is installed, you can choose a classic gravel finish for a migration and pot hole free driveway or car park, or you can fill it with soil and seed to create luscious grassed areas for applications such as access routes and grass paths.
As well as being used for driveways, car parks, access routes and paths, X-Grid is incredibly versatile and can also be used on golf courses, landscaping projects, to create garden building bases, in equestrian areas and on farms too.
