Recessed manhole covers are used in resin bound gravel to enable a more attractive and pleasant looking finish for a resin bound driveway project. By replacing the conventional manhole cover with a recessed steel one such as this, you can fill the cover with the same resin bound material as elsewhere, rendering the manhole practically invisible. With integral lifting keys, a lightweight polypropylene frame design and a loading weight of 5 tonnes, the Clark Drain product is ideal for domestic driveway projects and for areas with pedestrian traffic.
What is a manhole cover?
A recessed manhole cover is an open tray that disguises a manhole in a line of paving.
Aluminium recessed trays are most common for vehicle and foot traffic. The trays can be concealed in a number of ways, but when laying resin bound paving the resin gravel is filled to the tip of the mainhole and then in the manhole tray.
A recessed manhole cover will disguise an unattractive drain inspection point.
A sturdy frame is capable of withstanding the weight of a vehicle.
By laying resin bound gravel across the inspection chamber in a recessed lid, the result is a hidden manhole that blends with its surroundings.
