These adjustable decking pedestals (both 30mm to 45mm & 45mm to 70mm) securely hold our fully recycled plastic decking joists in place under the range of recycled plastic decking boards. The adjustable pedestal is simple to install and saves you the time and effort of having to construct traditional foundations.
The height of the pedestals can be easily altered dependent on the needs of your project, the adjustable height is great as not all decking or terrace installations can sit at the same height and variation is sometimes required. The previously mentioned pedestals and joists are compatible with both of our recycled plastic decking boards, Elegrodeck and RecoDeck and can be assembled and installed very simply.
What are decking pedestals?
Decking pedestals are made to make deck building quick, clean and easy – while safety and strength are ensured.
This product offers the perfect solution for installing flat timber decking on balconies, terraces and roof decks. It is essential that timber does not sit directly on the subdeck as this can damage the waterproof membrane, pedestals solve this while providing good weight distribution and surface drainage is improved.
Adjustable flooring supports are plastic support structures. They support joist sub-structure to create an even and stable surface and can be installed quickly.
What are the benefits of decking support?
The decking pedestals provide the following benefits:
- It saves the user the laborious job of having to level out a surface through digging out a surface level, laying cement or installing lumber support posts. They sit on a hard surface and bring support to the required height.
- They can be used to create a floating surface that cannot penetrate any underlying membrane. They present a minimal risk of scratching a waterproof layer.
- They support improved drainage by lifting sub-structures and preventing localised pooling. They also improve ventilation under the sub-structure.
Where are decking pedestals used?
These are ideal for use in the following areas:
