About PermaBound UVR+ Resin Binder

PermaBound UVR+ resin binder is a market-leading polyurethane binder, manufactured by a world-renowned manufacturer to produce a binder of the highest quality. Our two-part aliphatic resin has been formulated to ensure it will not discolour or degrade over time, even in the most extreme temperatures and climates. By using the essential feedback from hundreds of resin bound installers and skilled chemists, we were able to design and formulate one of the best resin bound gravel binders available on the market today which is up to three times stronger than other available binders.

When mixed with the recommended quantity of washed & kiln-dried aggregates and Chelford 52 sand in a forced action mixer, each of our two-part Permabound resin kits is able to cover up to 4m² when laid at 15mm (most suited to landscaped areas and foot-traffic) and 3.55m² at a depth of 18mm (standard vehicular traffic). If you require more information on installing resin bound gravel such as in-depth details on the sub-base requirements, suggested spreading depths and ideal laying conditions, please see our PermaPave resin bound guide.

Our stone binder is a two-component system which is supplied in two parts: Part-A and Part-B. The separate components are accurately weighed in order to ensure that the precise amount of material is provided and at the correct ratio. PermaBound is available in three sizes; 7.5kg, 7kg and 6.5kg to ensure you have the most suitable binder for each project.

The difference between UV stable and Non-UV resin?

Almost all suppliers and installers will recommend using a UV stable resin when laying a resin bound surface. This is due to Non-UV resin surfaces turning a deep yellow-brown colour over a number of weeks (particularly darker coloured stone) when exposed to the UV-rays. Patches can also appear where cars are parked or plant pots have been left out and in shaded areas. By using a UV stable binder, you can rest assured that your chosen gravel will maintain its colour regardless of the climate and temperatures.
