Rubber Mulch Binder Unpigmented

An unpigmented resin binder which can be used and mixed with all of our rubber mulches to create a strong, soft, natural looking, free draining, wheelchair friendly, impact absorbing and cost effective rubber surface. Rubber mulch surfaces which only carry their many benefits thanks to this specially formulated resin binder are ideal for use around playgrounds, play areas, parks and other recreational areas. Supplied in 25kg drums, simply mix your mulch and binder in a forced action mixer for between 4-6 minutes to produce a consistent material where all of your rubber has been suitably coated ready to be laid. A typical mix consists of 100kg of mulch and 25kg of binder (a mixture ratio of 20%/5:1). Be sure to follow the manufacturers instructions to not lay this surface in damp or cold conditions (below 5 degrees) as the binders are moisture activated and contact with moisture during the installation will cause it to react and cure much quicker and result in potential issues with the finished surface.

Please note: Due to normal wear and tear and UV exposure, over time all colour coated products are likely to expose the base rubber. As a result, mulch may leave black marks on users if not recoated as part of maintenance. There are often variations in shade and shred size between mulch batches. Any orders of a single colour over 100 bags of mulch may be from more than one batch. For batch information refer to manufacture codes and dates marked on the pallet. The binder may have a slight yellowing effect which will show more on lighter and brighter mulch colours.
